Chateau de Portets awarded Best of Wine Tourism 2017 in the category « Architecture and Landscapes ».

Every year, the Best of Wine Tourism competition rewards the most remarkable wine tourism locations.

In 2017, 85 applications were submitted of which one third were first time applicants. According the coordinators, « The selection process is becoming more and more difficult with the increase of professionalization of the sector. » In 2017, 22 trophies were awarded including 7 Golden.

A Quality Brand Recognized Internationally

Chateau de Portets was awarded Best of Wine Tourism in 2017 in the category “Architecture and Landscapes”. The advantageous location of the Château combines perfectly Vineyard, Wine, Cultural Heritage & the Garonne River. This former fortified castle constitutes an important architectural cultural heritage with its Renaissance style facade.

Classified as a historical monument, the Chateau has its elegant 14th century Gascq tower, a park filled with 100 year old trees and its view overlooking the Garonne from its terrace. Visitors can discover all these elements in the panoramic film on site.
